Dr. Hugo Gurll has a Stanford University Ph.D. in Sociology with extensive training in Psychology; he also has a Mathematics B.S. from Santa Clara University and was a National Science Foundation Researcher. |
| Hugo has spent years coaching, mentoring, tutoring, facilitating, and training diverse sets of clients. He enables his clients to clarify their goals, move past blockages, and take steps necessary to achieve their career and life goals. He has particular expertise in helping clients write effective resumes and cover letters; network to the hidden job market; prepare for interviews; and cope with job search and life stress. In his work as a Career Coach with the California Employment Development Department's ProMatch, he has helped scores of clients work toward achieving their work and life goals. |
| Hugo's also an excellent professional writer and editor having worked as a technical and marketing communications writer (PeopleSoft, Computer Associates, ASK Computer Systems), a grant proposal writer (California Wellness Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Treasure Island Sailing Center); and as a journalist (San Francisco Chronicle, USA Today, Santa Clara Magazine). He served as editor of ASK Horizons--ASK's high profile marketing magazine. |
