Bicycle Exchange was growing, and spinning off from its parent Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition meant they needed a website of their own. A few “regular volunteers” designed the website’s content and I implemented the new website, at bikex.org. Features include:
- Home page slideshow that highlights volunteer bike repair workdays
- Photos of happy children receiving bikes we’ve repaired
- Quick Answers module that stays near top of page in handheld view
- Modules for PayPal donations and mailing list signups
- Regular updates from volunteers who can work on the website together and independently
